Hi all, thanks for reading.

(First post was deleted as a result of cross-posting, my mistake. I'll make the post more state specific this time)
I'm new here on the forum. I currently live in Ireland and am considering moving to Georgia (among other states) in a few years and would like some suitable suggestions based on what I'm looking for, which I'll outline below.

Looking for somewhere in the lowland region of the state as I would like to avoid snowy winters. Hence I had kinda crossed off the northern part of the state, regions such as Atlanta etc as they are at high altitude and therefore are more prone to colder winters. So I was thinking somewhere in the southern portion of the state(Maybe somewhere below 300ft elevation might be reasonable?) I'd like to pretty much avoid anything below 35 or 40F if possible lol.

I'm also looking for a small town feel/rural area, I'm not a city guy at all, again Atlanta springs to mind as an example of where I don't want to live as a result of this haha, no offence to any Atlanta residents, it's just not for me, I prefer somewhere with hunting opportunities than a big city nearby.

It's gotta be a good place to get jobs (for a blue collar guy like me) of course, and low unemployment rates.

Also low crime rate is a must, I was deterred from a few cities because of their crime rates.

I'd also like to avoid anywhere that is prone to damaging storms (hurricanes and tornadoes etc), although I understand Georgia isn't much of a hurricane risk. I also understand that storms can happen pretty mcuh anywhere, but I'd like to make the risk of storm damage as low as possible.

Is there nice, friendly towns in Georgia that would suit my needs?

Feel free to post some suggestions and any additional info that may help. Thanks!

I would recommend Thomasville, but you are not going to find a place in Georgia that doesn't see 32 deg F. But in South Georgia the cold spells only last a day or so. Thomasville has plenty of hunting, fishing, is close enough to Tallahassee , Florida and to the coast to drive down easily. It does get hot there in the summer.

32F I can live with, I'm willing o compromise on that, just looking for a mild winter as opposed to one with a lot of snow is all Thanks for the response I'll look into it

Georgia (the entire state) gets almost no snow...... The climate is sub-tropical, extremely similar to SE Asia......

Pretty much the whole state of Georgia applies.

If you are north Georgia will will have a few minor flurries every year and a snow that sticks about every other year. When it does, the effects last a couple days. It isn't like being in the northeast of the US.

But if you want absolutely no snow... and I mean never... stick to the south or head to Florida, but if our ok with some minor snow and ice on occasion with a mild winter you have many more options.
