Family of 4 looking to relocate from South Florida to NW GA......any advice? How is the public school system? Is their decent job opportunities for a RN? Does anyone know the average pay for a RN?

Forgive me if you've already done this search: NW GA CL (medical/health jobs) but it might give an idea of what's available, and the job descriptions might give compensation information.

You might also want to look at the Chattanooga CL site, depending how close to TN line you might want to be. Huntsville CL, is also an option for NE AL although I'm not sure if there are as many who live in GA and work in AL (since it's much more rural until you get to Huntsville) as they do in TN.

Have no idea on the public schools there, but I can't imagine they're any worse than Atlanta, or possibly than from where you are now?

Good luck.

How far northwest? If you live in Walker, Catoosa, or Dade counties there are several hospitals and medical facilities in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas.

The schools are generally pretty good in NW Georgia. Ringgold schools are pretty good; Chickamauga has a highly-regarded city school system.
