We will be retiring and relocating to the Georgia area.
We are looking at Kennesaw, Georgia, Fairburn, Georgia, and Alpharetta, Georgia.
We are a middle class african american family and wanted to know which would be the best to move to and sets one area from another area. Also, which has great shops and things to do.

Alpharetta and Kennesaw would have the better overall amenities, while Fairburn gives you closer access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.

Of the three areas, Alpharetta is going to be the more upscale, Kennesaw is more middle of the road, while Fairburn is more of a mixed bag.

You may want to post this in the Atlanta Forum as opposed to the GA Forum since all three places are solidly a part of the Atlanta Metro!!!

I don't know what your price point is but I'm gonna go on a limb and say Kennesaw is your best bet. It's extremely affordable, it's quiet but not too far from the city of Atlanta (assuming you still want some reasonable proximity) and it's home to one of the best shopping malls in the state. How soon are you looking to move? Do you have a price range?
