My family and I visited Georgia 2 months ago and fell in love with the area. We were in the Kennesaw/Marritta area. We currently live in MD and we are pretty much priced out of the housing market. The median price of a home in Montgomery county is $600,000. We are considering a move to Georgia sometime next year. I work in the nursing area and my fiance works inthe hospitality industry. What is the job market like for these industries. We would like to secure jobs before we make such a drastic move.

I can't say much about the industry as a whole, but you could probably work at Kennestone hospital, which is near Marietta Square, which is a beautiful and charming area with big, older, expensive homes, and then live in Kennesaw for a pretty easy commute. You can easily find a decent home, especially if you're not looking for a new home, for under $200K. I'm from the DC area and the family is still all up in Germantown. Please note that traffic is terrible down here, at least as bad as DC Metro, but even larger, so you need to live close to work. Good luck!
