Now I always do the google maps thing to determine how long its going to take me somewhere and I'm not a speeder but I seem to get there faster than what it tells me.

However, I know the situation in Atlanta is pretty insane.
Anyone make the commute from Marietta to Alpharetta or Marietta to Norcross.

My husband has gotten a job right around the corner from where we live, however there does not seem to be an abundance of design jobs in marietta and I'm getting offers from places outside of Marietta. Particularly Norcross and Alpharetta.

30-45 minutes is pushing it for me in commute time but thats how long I'm willing to waste my life trying to get from one point to another every day.

Opinions?

Marietta to Alpharetta might be under 45 minutes depending on where you're starting and ending, and also depending on the time you're commuting. Marietta to Norcross? No way.

Well I did a test run this morning (Monday). I took the backroads instead of the highway. I started from Marietta at 8 am and got to the address in Norcoss in an hour roughly. Well Im estimating because I was near the address but was in the wrong turn lane and ended up lost and had to make a few fixes on the way because I didn't know where I was going. But anyhoo the drive wasn't that frustrating mainly because I had my Sirius Radio and listened to Howard Stern on the way. But that was one day. I'm imagining doing that everyday for a couple years will wear on me. If I get this job Im going to see if I could go in early and leave early.

I commuted about an hour to and from work in New York. During rush hours it was hell being stuffed into a train with people and no where to sit.
