I am considering relocating to Lithonia GA from Maryland on the Eastern Shore. I recently visited Lithonia. I am told the traffic and the commute to and from work is horrible, unless you travel by MARTA. I graduated with an A.A.S degree in Business Management and I would really like to know what would be a pretty good website(s) to visit, that would allow me to research the job market, post a resume or allow me to find a job close to the area were I am considering so that I will not have to travel too far or sit in traffic jams on the freeway. Any advise or input would be VERY helpful

Thank-you in advance

Uhm, people live in Lithonia, they don't really work there. Business Management...You may have to go 285 way or I20W into town, I don't know. You would be very lucky to live in Lithonia and not have to fight traffic to get to work, unless you luck out and work for some small company in your area. Please be aware, jobs in Atlanta are mainly gotten through who you know, like seriously.

Check out craigslist, yahoohotjobs, atlanta journal constitution (ajc.com) and careerbuilder.com for job listings. You might want to try some temp agencies to get started, but down here, even for them, you need a good resume with experience. Go to superpages.com and enter "employment agencies" atlanta, and call around, they always have positions. If you know anything about, or are interested in real estate business, that's hot here too. Not as an agent, but in an office, an agents assistance, administrative, etc. Depending on how well their doing in sales, they could pay decent.

Happy Trails!

P.S. Be prepared for culture shock coming from Maryland. This is nothing like the north. People tend to be a little closed minded, but you'll be o.k., just stay positive. Been here for three years, and looking to move to Cali.
