Our small software company just relocated to Alpharetta from San Francisco area. Since a good number of employees did not move to GA, I'm trying to fill these vacant roles (Inside Sales and Admin). I have been posting on Indeed and Craigslist, but I feel like I am only getting moderate success on those channels. I am getting overqualified people and really inexperienced candidates.

Is there a better job posting site where I can get a bigger audience in ATL? Do people read job postings on the Classified Ads section of newspapers? Do I need to go to local universities and post ads on their job boards?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Dice is the only other (Tech specific) online site I know of, but ALL the online options are going to gain you the same types of people.

As a "vastly overqualified" person myself (last position was head of a tech department for a 6-building business w/ ~150 employees, left in 2009), there are a *LOT* of us out there who want to throttle the people who say we're overqualified. Speaking for myself and the hundreds of others who I've spoken with and see things similarly, we're applying for a job opening because we Want that job. Yes, a small number will turn tail and jump ship the first chance but it seems like a Tiny minority. Why aren't you talking with those people, it should be easy enough to weed the people who are looking to use you.

I also looked inexperienced sometimes too, as I leave out some jobs because I get sick of the "overqualified" BS. It's just a no-win situation for so many people. When I was looking, I would have worked a Call Center and not been looking to leave.

Generally, beggars can't be choosers ~ you can be.

BTW, you might get a little more response out of the Atlanta sub-forum of this main Georgia forum.
