Thinking of taking some family to see the leaves in North GA but not sure if it's too early or not yet.

This weekend would be the best time to see them up in the mountains. Generally, around the 3rd week of October is peak foliage just over the GA/NC line. By the following week, peak foliage has moved down into Ellijay-Dahlonega-Clarksville area.

Unfortunately, drought conditions, as well as an extended warm period heading into autumn, tends to hamper the vibrancy and brilliance of fall foliage.
