I think it would come back showing your license was suspended when you try it.A suspension is a suspension. You might however be able to obtain a work permit to drive back and forth to work.It really depends on the violation.

I may be out of line, but if you had your license suspended a motorcycle may not be right for you.

Not necessarily Brent. One would typically think that to have your driver's license suspended, you must have been doing something irresponsible, such as DUI, driving without insurance, or even school truancy. And i would agree that if someone couldn't be responsible enough with main driving privileges, then he/she shouldn't be permitted to obtain a motorcycle license. But that's not the case with my boyfriend... He's had his license suspended, JUST RECENTLY, from an accident that occured 11 years ago. He ran a stop sign, causing an accident, but he had insurance to cover the damages. however, shortly after this incident, his insurance company went bankrupt, so the cost of the damages were never paid. Eleven years later, the other person who was involved in the accident, filed a lawsuit against him, and 5 months ago, the DMV has suspended his license, until $11,000 in restitution is paid back to the victim. He wasn't notified of a court date - that a lawsuit was brought against him, because he had moved out of state years ago, and they were unable to contact him for court... It's his right to be present in court & defend himself, or atleast give an explanation. also, this accident occured 11 years ago - shouldn't the statue of limitations be up by now? All factors which could be brought before a lawyer on our end, but we can't afford it. A motorcycle license would benefit my boyfriend so that he can get back & forth to work, to support his three kids & himself, atleast until the day that $11,000 falls out of the sky...
