Why is it so difficult to find a job in GA? I currently live in Miami and will be moving in Jan. to either Cobb county or Gwinette. I have visited and must say that I am fairly pleased Miami has gotten very drab to say the least. I am moving with my son and husband and we both have been looking for jobs since July and there has been no luck. I am a 7th grade teacher but would love a change of career, due to the fact that this is not what I went to college for and I have heard many things about the school board that I really do not want to deal with, ( you get paid once a month, there is no union, you must sign up for these comittees and do not get paid to attend). Is there anyone who can offer any insight it would be appreciated?

Default Job Market is Ga is iffy

I have a friend with a Masters Degree in IS and he can not find a Job. At first we thought it was because it was b/c he had a NY address so he used our friends address and home number and he still has not had any calls. On the other hand our friend with a legal certificate and a BA degree does not have enough time in the day to return all the calls and schedule the interviews with the recruiters. She is playing the game of lets talk starting salary.

Most might call it the Good ole boy network. I can tell you look at all your associations...ie colleges, fraternities, military, clubs etc to find anyone you know who works in that field to get you in or just keep knocking doors. Oh by the way I would not be here if my friend had not put word in for me. In other words some jobs you need a contact. Good Luck.
