I understand the comment about Acworth.....the old Acworth. The downtown area (Main Street) is really coming alive. Great restaurants..if you haven't tried Cottons I highly recommend it. It has a beautiful bar. Lunch is nice sandwichs, dinner is white tablecloths and wonderful food.

What type of house are you looking for. We are trying to sell ours. We have not listed with an agent or anything, but are trying to move back toTN where I am from. We love Atlanta too & my husband's family is here, but my family is all up there & we are just ready for a change. Anyway...we are in the process of getting rid of everything we can at the moment & trying to figure out the best way to sell our house which is right near Kennesaw at 575 & Chastain Road. If you are interested in a 3BR/21/2 BA with a full acre & the biggest lot in the center of a cul-de-sac with lots of upgrades, hot tub, pool table, tile in the kitchen & a newly remodeled master bath with jacuzzi & marble tiled walls/floors. I just have to figure out the timing & how to go about all of this. It all seems overwhelming, but we are very motivated to get out of the city & back to the country. :-) We will be renting wherever we go for a bit too to make sure we like the area. Its a great area & we love our house & that is one of the only bad things about us moving is we will miss living here. Once I get all this stuff purged I will take some pics. If anyone else may be interested in checking it out. There are some good schools & some not so great ones around. I think we are in Sprayberry district. In any case...you have chosen a wonderful area. The people in Kennesaw/Marietta are great & I have truly enjoyed living here the past 11 years. Its just time for a change.
Best of luck you!

Julie

Sounds nice but probably out of our range, we are looking at around $150k. The location is right near where my husband works.

If you're considering Walkers Ridge North in Kennesaw, you may want to reconsider and look elsewhere. While the homes are quite lovely, the HOA board is not. They have proven to be the most difficult and arrogant group of people I have experienced in quite sometime. Not to mention the steep HOA dues...God they are not, but they sure do act as though they are. Avoid buying a home in this subdivision, no matter how sweet of a deal you may get to live here. You'll be so.... HAPPY you did.
