Oh, they were around 30 years ago. My girlfriends threw me a divorce party that year, and purchasing those gifts online wasn't an option back then.

These youngsters today have no idea how sexually liberal Atlanta was back in the day. In the 1970s and 80s there were adult bookstores, peep shows and XXX movie theaters the whole length of Peachtree Street from
downtown all the way to Buckhead (not to mention strip clubs and 24 hour discos like Backstreet).

Atlanta (and Georgia) was a far different place back then than it is today -- not nearly as conservative as most want to believe!

Pharr Rd. in Buckhead was our version of 42nd Street.
