My apartment complex is trying to fine me for "trash" on my patio. They send it a notice to move it by a certain date but they fined me too. Doesn't make sense. But on to of that we are moving in a couple weeks. No where in my lease does it say that they can monetarily fine me. What should I do??

Pay it and in the future, wherever you live, put your trash in the dumpster instead of leaving it on your patio, where it can be seen by neighbors, and be gotten into by animals, thus strewing the trash all over the place and requiring apartment maintenance to clean it up.

putting trash on patios and balconies is a public health and fire hazard. The apartment complex management is totally in the right on this
