My husband and I are moving to Georgia for retirement, we love Savannah but seems to be a very busy place. Can anyone tell me about Statesboro, are the people welcoming, rental houses, safe, crime rate, cost of living. Any information would be helpful. Thank you to anyone that can give me some idea about Statesboro.

It's a college town. Lots of young people here. Don't let the "small town" mantra fool you, though. We already have a population of 30,000 and are continuing to grow. I'd recommend looking somewhere outside of the city.
