Braselton appears to be gaining a lot of industry; would Braselton be considered a good place to retire if someone enjoys the look and feel of country living. Considering moving to a 55+ community or housing on a ¾ acre lot with a nearby community center with indoor /outdoor pool and within half hour to a good hospital, but read a lot about all the companies growing in the area. Advice please. thanks

Braselton has attracted a lot of industry indeed. Most industry is located along Georgia State Route 124 between Georgia State Route 211 and Georgia State Route 53.

Most residential development in the Town of Braselton has been in Barrow, Gwinnett, and Hall counties. (The Town of Braselton also extends into Jackson County.) Friendship Road (Georgia State Route 347) would be popular for residential development.

I don't see why Braselton would not be a good place to retire to at this point in time if some enjoys the look and feel of country living.

That country feeling probably won't last forever the way development keeps popping up. It's exurban living.

Is Georgia State Route 211 in the process of being widened to four lanes from Winder to Georgia State Route 53?

Like WanderingImport said, Braselton is in the midst of an exurban development boom which is rapidly overtaking any true sense of country living. Then again, if you're looking for a retirement community, you might well be looking in the right area. You might have to go more towards Flowery Branch or Chestnut Mountain.
