Any feedback on Jasper, GA? Currently live in Woodstock and am looking to move farther north of 575 and away from the sprawl that is happening in the Atlanta suburbs.

As much as I love Woodstock, I am looking for something more quiet and am not happy with the way Woodstock has become. Seems crime is increasing, expense in terms of taxes....

Any feedback on the overall area, demographics, traffic, schools, overall quietness of life in the Jasper area?

I live in Ellijay right up the road from Jasper and go to Jasper quite a bit to grocery shop. Its a nice town.
Demographics- like most of North Georgia its pretty white with some Central Americans/Mexicans other than that not much else other than white folks.
Traffic-Not bad at all really,515 stays busy but I am sure you know that.
Schools-can't say my kids go to Gilmer County Schools and we have public charter schools here which we personally love.
Jasper has some really good places to eat like, some nice thrift stores, has a Kroger which I prefer for groceries, love that its close to 515 and its a straight shot to Atlanta and not far from Cumming or Gainesville either. Its expanding they are building something near Walmart now not sure what it is yet though...if you want to raise kids or have a slower pace of life but be near the hustle and bustle of Atlanta its perfect...we love living in Ellijay and don't want to ever leave.
