i don't see metz as having a significant outcome on the election. he's just not a very serious candidate. it's typical to see third party candidates polling 3-4% and pulling in less than a percent on election day.

i don't think the elections are going to be clean. i voted for the middle option but if abrams comes out with a few votes short of 50% and it goes to a runoff, i think kemp's meddling would be to blame. i'm just hoping it will be a blowout so there isn't really a question of who won.

I found the process pretty straightforward today. I filled in the top half of a form, showed my ID, got a voting card and waited 10 minutes to cast my vote.

A nice change from my experience in NY.

So people are suggesting that kemp will alter the vote counts? Are we living in the Soviet Union?

There is a lot of rhetoric on both sides.

Well voter suppression alive and thriving in Georgia. As Midtown Atlanta continues to become younger and the epicenter of political power. When baby boomers expire from age, future elections will continue be dominated by metro Atlanta.

If Kemp pulls out the win, it looks like the voting problems in Metro Atlanta and harsh rules like "exact-match" will have been enough to cost Abrams the election. The margin was soooo razor thin. It's easy to imagine that a few voters mistakenly turned away and voters deterred by a 3+ hour wait in line made the difference here.

This race really highlights the importance of downballot races like Secretary of State. If Barrow wins, it would make the Dems job much easier next time around.

If Kemp avoids a runoff and is not on the ballot, that could be good news for Barrow. Democrats have a lot of bad blood toward Kemp while Republicans would probably not be as motivated.
