If you think about it, whether ranging from county officials to city officials & on into legislators & highly placed statewide office holders, Georgia has an embarrassingly awful record as goes ethics & the lack of it on into downright corruption. And it's a massive problem for both of the major political parties.

When I have read comments here in the Georgia/Atlanta forums that chastise Illinois & other locations for their public corruption, I just want to hold my head in my hands & grimace.

To be Perfectly fair, there are ZERO US States that escape corruption, abuse of power, etc...

But no one cares. Without the voting public realizing that elected officials and those they appoint CAN and Should be held accountable, things will just continue down the well-trodden path they are already on.


What's one more criminal in elected office? Almost like it's a pre-requisite to being elected anymore....
