A third major studio has now gone on record that it will “reconsider Georgia as the home to any new productions” if the state’s abortion law goes into effect.
New York-based WarnerMedia follows Netflix and Disney, which both have threatened to leave the state for the same reason.

Georgia's not entitled to their investments. They can up and leave for whatever reason they want.
Now if Georgia's leaders and the people who voted for them didn't or don't get this, that's not the problem of these companies.

Sure they are entitled to leave. It’s free market capitalism. The reason though is asinine. Georgia has made them millions they otherwise wouldn’t make by producing in the over taxed hell hole of California. If Georgia is doling out incentives to attract their investments, it seems like it's Georgia who needs them more.
These companies won't be hurt one way or another by setting up shop elsewhere. And other states who don't engage in extremist actions will be more than happy to give them the incentives they want.

Not really. Georgia was fine before them and will be fine if they pull out. These companies stand the most to lose, hence the reason they came cross country to begin with.
As far as the other states, if they wanted to give them the incentives they would have already done so. Atlanta is easy for anyone to get to, not many other places are.

Yeah. I didn't think we should pass a divisive bill solely to generate a Supreme Court case which will cost us lots in attorney's fees. I don't think it was a good way to reduce abortions either in the long run.
But if out of state companies are blackmailing us on public policy, sign the thing! I find that really offensive and not part of their corporate charter.

They came across country because Georgia had a governor with common sense who knew better than to bite the hand that feeds it. That's no longer the case. And these companies negotiated such a situation into their contracts with the production facilities in Georgia.
As far as accessibility, Atlanta/Georgia shouldn't get the big head. Any half-way decent-size city has good enough air connectivity to/from other entertainment hubs.
