Georgians looking to escape the oppressive summer sun have a new option thanks to a new app.

Swimply, an peer-to-peer rental marketplace for swimming pools, has officially launched in 26 states including Georgia.

The app, which was started by 22-year-old Bunim Laskin, allows non-pool owners to book time in nearby private pools for an hourly fee..."

Interesting idea - article is behind paywall but I looked them up.

I couldn’t see myself either renting time or using it - liability issues and sanitary issues are just 2 of them.

I know in my HOA we have to have the pool checked twice a day...would that have to apply to a Swimly participant?

Interesting concept but I don't see how this will last. Way too many liability issues. Just imagine if someone was injured or drowned in your property. I also doubt neighbors would be thrilled with this. Different groups of people taking up parking, not to mention if some of them get rowdy. It just seems to me the liability issues alone would overshadow any extra money you could make from this app.
