My husband and I moved to Henry from Miami. We live in a great community. We like it here but the weather is a bit little too cold for us. We would like to move to south georgia (Hahira). Is there anyone who can give us a little more information about Hahira?

My husband and I moved to Hahira from California last November and we love this little town. There is one major intersection. There are no major chain restaurants, except for Subway. We have a great little downtown area, nice churches, friendly people, and wonderful schools. My biggest complaints about Hahira and the south in general are the bugs- mosquitos, spiders, etc. But a little pest control will take care of that. Be prepared to drive at least 15-20 minutes to get to Walmart and other sevices such as the mall, dentist, doctor, movies, etc. Other than that we love it!

My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Hahira as well. We plan on driving to look around for property-about 10 acres for us to build on. What is the area like for folks who like crafts/hobbies as sewing, quilting, embroidery. I see the only dealer with any sewing at all is a Viking Husqvargna dealer. Quilt shops? Fabric stores? Thanks!
