Potential job opportunity in Rome, GA. I have read it is a relatively small Christian town. I was hoping to find a bigger city I could move to and commute within 20-30 miles, but have had no luck with Google. Kennesaw is far, so is Chattanooga, TN. Dalton, I have read is a no no. Crime seems to be high in Rome as well. I am familiar with Roswell and Alpharetta but obviously too far. I am coming from South Florida and have lived near Charlotte, NC, so kinda used to the big cities.

Cartersville is 26 miles/30 minutes away and feels a lot more integrated into Metro Atlanta. It's still pretty far out but a quick jaunt down I-75 to Kennesaw and Marietta.

A quick Google search shows a bunch of bars, so at least the town isn't dry! I have no idea what it is like for singles. If you like the outdoors, it has easy access to the mountains. There is also a really cool Western Art Museum there, of all things.
