That source info is pretty unreliable, it lists Gladeview as Florida's fastest shrinking city. Gladeview is not a city, it's a CDP neighborhood of Miami.

And if the list is really the fastest shrinking city in each state, which it claims to be, Cordele's -4.6% loss of around 500 people is not larger than Waycross' 7.2% loss of 1,000 people or Montezuma's 12.8% loss of 450 people. There's probably a half dozen or more other examples, maybe Cordele is in the top 10 of Georgia's shrinking cities.

Small, isolated, cities losing their population is a common trend and issue in the US, but using some half-assed listicle style post from an obscure website and turning it into an newspaper article is embarrassing.
