We're tossing ideas around and have been focusing on industry in South Carolina, but in the interest of fate I'd like to ask anyone who might know about larger or otherwise stable employers in the Northern Georgia area that have mechanical engineering positions (in case there is something there we haven't considered)?

I think there are still some textile plants in Dalton Ga. However, NAFTA killed most of the textile plants in Georgia, SC, and NC. How easy is it to convert a "mechanical engineering" degree into a construction engineering or site-plan engineering degree? Then, you might be in business!
