Thanks everyone. My wife and I went to Athens Saturday afternoon and had a great time! It was HORRIBLE getting to hwy 85 through Duluth though!

Great little town with some cool little bars. School was out so the town was pretty quiet and relaxed which was great.

Week after next I we are going to try Blue Ridge for the weekend (hopefully a B&B). Thanks again for your posts.

Go to Helen Ga, you will feel like your in Germany's mountains.

Take the side roads through the north GA mountains to Asheville, NC. You can spend the weekend in a B&B and visit all the surrounding sites, including Biltmore House.
