I am looking for a nice town in northern GA to raise a young family.
We are hoping for not a very large school, but pretty good.
Low crime/drugs.
A neighborhood where the kids can all go out and play, not too far away from stuff, but not houses that are on top of each other with no trees.

Anyone know of a place like this?????

My first thought was Dahlonega, a pretty little college town about 1 hour from Atlanta. I was there about a month ago, and they were having some sort of community festival downtown. It was so picturesque and felt like it was taking place in another time...so idyllic.

I agree, we went yesterday to view the foliage in the mountains. I love Dahlonega, very charming
