I have been considering the Lawrenceville/Suwanee/Buford area to relocate to for over a year now. However someone told me that Douglasville/Dallas area is great too...
Here are my requirements, perhaps someone out there has some good feedback-
Great schools (Middle & High school)
Near Hospitals/Healthcare- I will have an aging mother and sick child with me who will require great medical care close by
Basement- so my mom can have a living space of her own (I was told North Georgia has the terrain for homes with basements)

High taxes and property insurance is making me flee from South Florida

Everyone talks about traffic but is it an issue if you don't have to commute to downtown Atlanta- is traffic okay if you work locally to where you live?
