We are considering moving to Valdosta or Hahira to get out of freezing Pennsylvania. I see there are several nice homes for sale, however, can you tell me if jets from the base fly by the area and make noise and sonic booms?
Any info about Valdosta or Hahira will be appreciated too.

Military aircraft noise is not restricted to Valdosta. The sonic booms can be heard all over South Georgia. It is not frequent enough to cause you any discomfort. Much of the "practice" traffic is held out over the Atlantic.

there are no aircraft housed at moody capable of supersonic flight.

i haven't heard a boom here since the f-16's left, and that was years and years ago.

the only noise you will hear is from low flying a-10's and the pavehawk helicopters, and its not that bad. you get used to it. they do fly more around hahira than valdosta; their designated airspace encompasses part if not all of hahira.

also, since they are low flying, the noise is short lived. they're in and out before you know it.
