Hi everyone,

My family is looking to move to Ga. We have been doing research for about a year and we feel like Grayson is our move. But, One of our friends live in Conyers and the other in Grayson and they seem to be battling for their towns. Any suggestions.

FWIW--

Grayson is more NE--the University of GA is located in Athens and the influence is notable.

Conyers is SE and the area around the southern side could be said to be more rural and to the north lies the city of Atlanta. A main thoroughfare to the area is I20.

Conyers is very very very congested. It's not Atlanta, but still very congested. If you live in one of the rural areas of Conyers like another poster mentioned, you will still need to fight traffic to get to the highway or to any major shopping. Hwy 138 is especially bad and should be avoided IMO. I am more inclined to go with Grayson as well. It's been a while since I've been out that way but if I had the choice, I'd pick Grayson.

Also I'm pretty sure that Gwinnett County has better schools than Rockdale.

How about visiting and seeing which city you like better?
