okay i'm a new yorker, but a country girl at heart.
i'v always wanted to move to the south, and finally i have the chance.
i am 24 years old, single and looking for the following in a place. if you think you know of a good place for me, PLEASE TELL

*a lot of friendly people, people that basiclaly know you so preferably a small town, but not TOO small.
*not a city feel, more of a small town feel. with quaint little shops that might sell nick-nacks, a supermarket, some restaurants, some places for a young girl to hang out.
*horseback riding is a major plus. i would LOVE to have a house with a stable sometime in my future. i'v taken lessons for a few years now.
*a good community, low crime-good schools, etc.
* i like the outdoors. so the more there is to do outdoors the better for me.

if you know of ANY PLACE. please tell all =) thank you.

The Augusta Metro Area Google Richmond County GA to get city links
Hephzibah,Thomson, North Augusta, Grovetown, & Aiken are good choices. Since u want a small town not a city feel i dont know if u would like martinez, evans, or west augusta these are more urban areas.

Beaux, if you moved back to Bainbridge you'd hate it, that's where I live now and my husband and I are trying to get out. It's starting to get that "I'm a BIG town" feel without the benefits of the big towns. It's outgrowing itself and fast.
Country girl, I would suggest that you take a look at Valdosta and Thomasville. Both are here in South GA. Valdosta's bigger, but Thomasville has the small town feel with a really cute downtown. Thomasville is also known for horseback riding and it's only 45 minutes to Tallahassee,FL home of the Red Hills horse trials.

...Gee,It is heart breaking to even think of Bainbridge as being anything but small-town and down-home...I remember Valdosta as being kinda like that and if I remember right?? Thomasville had one of the biggest Old Oak Trees I have ever seen.....except in La la Land.*grins*
The next time I'm down south,I will revisit those two small towns indeed...Thanks for the heads -up....*grins*
