Is there anyone familiar with the areas between Atlanta and Augusta that could give me some advice? My girlfriend and I may need to relocate because of job offers, one of us has a job offer in Atlanta and one of us has one in Augusta. Because jobs are so scarce, we each feel we need to accept the position and thought we could live somewhere in the middle of the two cities and make the long commute, it's a sacrifice, but one we both feel we need to make (at least for a little while). We both want about the same commute time to be fair to one another, and we want a nice town to spend out time in, can anyone offer any suggestions/options? Thanks!

Try around the Greensboro area. That is about as half way as you can get, distancewise. There are some nice areas around there, especially towards Lake Oconee. However, it also depends upon where in Atlanta the job is. For a more equal commute in time, you may want to look closer to Madison. You can use my website to look for what kind of homes are available in either of those areas. Just go to my profile.

I always thought Madison was a cute little town. If I were looking to be between Atlanta and Augusta, that'd be where I would relocate. (Aside from Athens, of course)

I agree. Union Point might be another community to consider.

Athens, while I would recommend, is not quite a halfway commute, between Atlanta and Augusta, at least for time. Union Point, which is nice, would be much closer to Augusta time wise.
