Valdosta has Wild Adventures, an amusement park with more rides than Disney, a great water park and offers the second day free. (the first day is a lot less than disney as well) Great roller coasters, wonderful animal exhibits and very family friendly. They have great concerts on Saturday nights that are free with park admission. big names-mostly country and contemporary christian but also 70 and 80 groups and some up and coming bands. There are several new (less than 2 years old) and inexpensive hotels- Marriott Courtyard, Brand new Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn... Great place to bring the kids.
How about some outdoor adventures? Here in Northeast Georgia, you can take the kids hiking. There are awesome short hikes to waterfalls and lakes.
Horseback riding, boating, kyacking, tubing and fishing are other wonderful activities available in the mountains.
