Any information on Carrollton, Georgia area would be appreciated. What areas are the most rural?

The whole darn county is rural but just close enough to Atlanta, I used to go to Carrollton 3 times a week for visits from Paulding county.

Small town and quiet. There is a college out that way.

You will be 20 min from ALABAMA out there! LOL

Good thing is the Mall in Douglasville is close, like a 30 min drive so thats fun.

Smile More questions

Thanks for the replies!

I would like to ask a few more questions, please;
Of the cities in Carroll County, which would you recommend for a happily married couple with a daughter in college? My daughter is intersted in
W. Georgia.

My husband is retiring from the FORD plant in Hapeville. (actually being kicked to the curb after 32 years of faithful service) We would like to move from the land of road rage and gangsta wanabes to a peaceful area with no traffic or crime. We only desire a small house on a few acres in an area that we could live out our remaining years in tranquility. Does such a paradise exist?

Also, my husband had no plans on retiring now, so he would like to find a job in the manufacturing or warehouse field. Are there any manufacturing plants or warehouses in these areas.

And finally, my daughter has been employed by Chick-Fil-A for several years. (lower management) Is there a Chick-Fil-A in any of these areas. She loves her job and would like to continue working for the company.

Carrollton
Bowdon
Mt. Zion
Roopville
Temple
Villa Rica
Whitesburg

Thanks in advance! I know it seems like I am asking a lot, but change is scary and so is the loss of job security at this stage of our life.

Carrollton is where W. Georgia college is, and has a chick-fil-a. Your husband can probably find a job there too

Carrollton is very backwoods. I just moved from there after living there since 1998 and I find the area to be somewhat racist. If you are white.. its alright. Just my opinion having lived there is if your ok with witnessing "other than whites" be treated less fairly then its a great place to be. (fyi I am white). Perhaps you might check out this story on the atlanta news website regarding the county comissioner before deciding to put your kids in this area.
