Hello Everyone,

I am thinking of moving to Georgia and would like to know the average cost of living. I am trying to save every penny for this move, but I am curious to know what I should consider while preparing for this move.

I'm thinking I need to save at least about $20,000 for this move. This should be enough for 1 year while I get on my feet.

Presently, I average about $2800/month on rent ($1200), utility bills ($60), cable ($125), daycare ($500), cell phone ($150), car insurance ($250), other miscellaneous such as gas and food ($500). Is this about the same for Georgians?

I am hoping that I would save a little something by moving back south.

Thanks for your input.
