I am potentially moving to the Vinings/Cumberland Mall area of Atlanta and would like to locate a church similar to what I have been reading about similar to North Point Community Church or Buckhead Church. Upbeat music and beliefs like Southern Baptist. Any suggestions?

Kennesaw United Methodist has a great music program:

A church very similar to Northpointe moved into an unfinished recreation complex right on Spring Road just past Cumberland Boulevard when I lived there about 7 years ago. In TX now so a little out of the loop and for the life of me cannot think of the name of it. Perhaps my posting this will spur some other people to know what I'm talking about.

The original campus of Mount Paran Church of God is just inside the Atlanta city limits from the Cumberland area and a very contemporary on fire church that I would recommend as well.

Saintmarks is talking about Cumberland Community Church. I think it is what you are looking for. If you don't like it, you could always go to Buckhead Church, which isn't all that far from Vinings. There are plenty of small groups in the area.

I'd also say to give First Baptist Smyrna a try. Their music is fairly contemporary - mostly praise and worship songs with choir and orchestra.
