Forgive me for being so brief but a few months back I read a story and I can't remember where I saw it. I doubt it was in the AJC since I very rarely read it but it was about a man starting up a wild west typy theme park. Probably to call it a theme park would be the wrong term, but if I recall, it had wild west saloons, general store, etc...I've tried googling but couldn't find anything on it. I live an hour east of Atl, towards Athens and I think it was on the west side or south of Atl...not too far. If anyone knows of anything I am babbling about, please help,lol...It was to open up shortly..for some reason I'm thinking Griffin area, but I checked their city site and nothing.

I don't know of anything of this sort in Griffin. But, your post reminded me of "Six Gun Territory" in Ocala, FL. It was a wild-west theme park that I went to as a small kid. Fun place, but I guess the wild-west theme just couldn't compete with Disney.

Oh darn, I thought you were going to tell me you knew the name of it,lol. I guess I'm thinking Griffin because that's where Doc Holliday is from. My husband/kids are related to him and my older son has taken an interest in everything about him now. It reminded me of an article I had read about the Wild West area this man was developing. I wish I had saved the story...I swear I'm not making this up,lol.

Is it in Valdosta, Wild Adventures maybe? I do not think it's Western-themed, but people at DH's work love the place.

Any chance you're thinking about [url=Removed[/URL] near Brunswick? Looks like that project has fizzled.

Another idea I had....any chance it's the new-ish Crossroads area of Stone Mountain?
