Hi Everyone,

I'm just curious as to what people come up with. I know that I'm going to get a lot of "let me know when it exists" type comments, and I am aware that there is no "perfect" place in the world. Really, I'm just looking for suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a place with the following:

1. Moderate Climate. I'm from NJ and would be very happy if I never saw snow again. A light brush here and there is fine.

2. Socially liberal. I don't want gasps if two men are walking down the street together holding hands (of course anywhere but San Fran there will be looks, but I dont think I could live in a place that would then start a rally on how theyre going to murder them), or if I have a black friend come visit me (I'm white), and we decide to go out to dinner. Also, not a church on every block, please. Oh hell, let's just say it, they lean to the left on voting day.

3. Moderate home prices. Of course, living in Jersey, I'm sure anywhere will look great, but ideally, I would love to be able to get a 3 bedroom for 200k-ish.

4. Within an hour to the coast.

hmmm--you could have 1-3 in metro Atlanta--4 hours to the coast as the crow flies.

'An hour from the coast' would place you somewhere in South GA--less of #2 in that area--so what is most important?

Savannah would seemingly be the logical place---it is on the coast.

Effingham county could be considered 'an hour away'--plenty of churches and more conservative than other parts of Savannah.

Bluffton, SC--I have a friend there and there must be a number of conservatives--can't say what else.

???Statesboro??? GA Southern University is located there--a bit more progressive than surrounding area.
