I just relocated fom NJ and Im currently staying with my sister in her Homelife Home in Fairburn until i find my place. Her House is Gorgeous and what she paid for it i can't believe it. ( But it's true I checked because they are still selling in her community). For the 2 weeks that i have been here she's worked hard trying to convince me to purchase a Homelife Communities Home. As an engineer i am used to triple checking before making a big decision. Ive read some of the blogs and see they really can go either way, any factual info available?

There are various threads on here about Homelife Communities, just go to the search box and type them in. You can even google them up (as far as people's satisfaction, etc.).

I am looking to relocate to and I have read tons of threads here and on other forums and I have not read one positive thing overall other than a great price. I have lived in brand new houses and trust me when i say just because they are new does not mean you dont have maintenance or problems from day one(not exactally) well informed buyer and builder reputation will serve you well. There are lots of homes in GA to choose from, referal is a great tool both from homeowners that live in an area, homes etc but also first hand research and you can always call the better buisness burea and inquire if they have any complaints, praises on file or personally too its a great tool ..Point: Do your homework, research and dont be afriad to ask the tough questions as well as some that might sound stupid but believe me I would rather ask a question that sounds stupid than make a decison that might cost me many 1000s of dollars, sleepless nights and major issues....Id rather be overly informed than less...Good Luck..Happy Hunting...Lisa

Question Thanks for the info regardind Homelife Communities.

I recently searched google under customer satisfaction and found that Homelife Communities offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee buyback policy. I looked at some of the websites for the builders that have communities nearby my sisters here in fairburn and saw a few choice things but nothing as eye catching yet as this. I was also fortunate to attend an HOA meeting with my sister ( to possibly here some complaints ) but the majority of the attendees that i spoke to actually recommended buying there in the community. I spoke with 2 high ranking army officers, a psycologist and a handful of other professionals that had been living there they stated since it opened a little over a year ago. My sister has been in her home for 4 months now. Those were some pretty strong testimonials. I read a few small threads here that might suggest otherwise. I really looking for info from someone who has a good bit of first hand experience for more than a year or so in if neccesary in a diffrent community by that builder

I can't recall the exact post, but I believe it was in this forum. Regarding the 100% buyback guarantee, some have tried to exercise that option due to their non-satisfaction, but it was a tremendous amount of headache. I can't recall if they were ever successful in getting their concerns addressed. Search on HomeLife in this forum-or 100% buyback, it might come up.
