Hey new to the forum here. Anyways I am originally from Rome but I havent been there in about 5 years. When I left I would say our population was at about 80,000. I was reading in a newspaper yesterday that Romes current population was now at 135,00 growing strong and at the rate of this "progression" the population will reach over 300,000 in 12 to 15 years. I havent been to Rome in 5 years because my family moved up to north to Ft. Oglethorpe. Is anyone on here that can confirm this or tell me whats going on back in Northwest GA? Oh btw Gainesville Ga is about as good as it gets

Default rome, ga, progress?

I thought Rome Ga's population is 36,000 not 80,000. Is it growing that much?

In the 2010 United States Census, the city of Rome had a population of 36,303, and Floyd County had a population of 96,317. In the 2000 United States Census, Floyd County had a population of 90,565. In ten years, the population increased by 5,752, or 6.35%.

In 2020, will Rome's population reach 40,000, and will Floyd County's population reach 100,000?
