I am at the veterans home in G.R. and looking for a wireless ISP for my desktop system. Sprint wants too much and they do not have a very good antenna system for computers. Since I live in a retirement home that is in an older building, I need something that can pick up and put out signals while being inside a big building.

I found Clear wireless but have not yet called them. Can anyone tell me if that service is any good?

Thanks.

I don't know anyone that has used them in GR. I know people that have had it in Chicago with mixed results. From what I hear a lot of it depends on what type of building you are in. Brick apparently isn't very conducive to a good signal.

They don't market the service. No one has heard of them (hardly). They basically are non existant. That's my opinion anyway.

I'm thinking about going with them or Azulstar. Clear's equipment is cheaper upfront, but I have no clue about the actual service.

Still thinking of going with them, but No one is really advertising for just wireless internet here.
Seems its either one of the cable tv providers also providing internet (like comcast) or the dial up services that are doing all the advertising..

I ended up going with AT&T Uverse for the 12 month deal. I'll be shopping again in 12 months.
