Don't know much about Stepping Stones, but GRM is a great public school choice. We're happy there with our two kids and it does go all the way to 12th grade which is only one of a very few Montessori schools in the country to go that far. There is a lot of movement in the last couple years to improve the whole program even more - especially at the secondary level.

Thanks a lot for your replies. Actually I am completely unfamiliar with the school system so If anyone could tell me what are the pros and cons of private VS public school it would be great.

If you're talking toddler, GRM only does two half days a week until kindergarten so that's not much time if you're looking for more of a Montessori program that meets regularly. Even though it's public school, there is about $900 tuiton per year. Once they hit kindergarten, it's free public school (half days as of right now...we'll see if they change due the continued funding decreases from Lansing...they might do full day to get more funding...lots of districts have to)

I'd say that the 3 and 4 year old program at GRM is best to get them ready for the regular program when they're older.
