I live in Ada, Michigan, and I just had our AT&T DSL internet price increase another $20/mo. I don't have cable, so adding both cable and internet would cost more than I'm paying AT&T. Does anyone know of any alternatives? I can't seem to find any other providers that service Ada.

When we lived in Ada before moving to Atlanta less than a year ago, we had Dish Network for TV and Comcast for high speed Internet only. After we moved to Alanta, we had the same set up with the Same companies.

I'm currently living in Ada and facing a similar dilemma as I plan to move this summer to Lowell (see the other internet thread in this forum). I currently have comcast though - find out if they are available.

If you live on the Lowell side of Ada check out RedFrog as they have an airwave internet service, but their range isn't very far. I've never used them and they are not available at my new location.

In the other thread another poster recommended Verizon's 3g service. There is also a satellite internet company called Exeed - which is pricey and requires a 2 year commitment.
