I have been driving past that boat all my life and have never seen it going anywhere. Has anybody ever ridden on it... and what is the typical age group for it?

Yes, I've attended an event on it. A long time ago, can't even remember what for. It basically goes about a mile down the river, turns around and comes back. I've seen weddings on it too.

If you are heading down 196 away from downtown, it is somewhere between the Lake Michigan Drive exit and that 28th street exit on the left. It has been there all my life and I never seen it moving lol .

Also, if it only goes a mile.. how long is the actual ride?

It was some kind of networking event, so it was docked for a while, took off down the river, came back, docked. There was a live band and a bar, so I didn't really pay attention to the details. I'd say the trip was maybe an hour?? Total event was 2 hours.

It has apparently changed locations now, to further downriver by Jenison: The Grand Lady Riverboat
