There are tons of summer activities. If you google the egr city parks and rec department there is a pdf you can download. Nearby there is Gymco for really fun gymnastics-type activities for kids in those age groups. It is really a must for us. Also, the Kroc Center is not far but has a nice playground and indoor pool with splash zone. Forest Hills Parks and Rec also has activities.

East Grand Rapids has two pools, both have been fully renovated in the last ten years. Wealthy Pool is best for young children and has a Friday night and weekend family swim. They are open year round and always have a lifeguard on duty
