Plan now to get a good exercise program into your schedule. It's too easy to put on weight over here. I bike about 60 - 70 miles a week just to break even.
If you like "road biking" in the countryside, there's a lot of beautiful areas around the outskirts of Grand Rapids to ride, as well as many converted railroad beds (rails to trails) like White Pine Trail, etc..
