Our shredder died a shuddering death earlier this year, and I have a ton of old records, reciepts, appointment book pages; the usual stuff. My bank (United) used to do paper shredding for customers, but no longer does so. Where can I go to have a couple of full paper grocery bag's worth of paper shredded for free?

I have burned personal papers at a park and grilled bratwursts at the same time. Really.

Smile Shredding

Office Max has a service 79 cents per pound, you drop off, they put in a locked cabinet and
a company comes and picks it up and shreds it.

Dash into your nearest Congressman's office, dump the documents on the counter and in a panic-stricken voice announce that the Feds are on the way and they need to take care of these right away, then explain that you were never there and quickly dash out. They'll know what to do and take care of the rest for you.

We prefer to burn rather than shredding documents. I think that some libraries may have shredders.

I just saw the other day, the post office in Gaslight Village, has a paper shredder that people can use.
