In a way Kwame did represent the city of Detroit, however he had almost no support from the surrounding metro area. And to be clear, I am not saying that everyone in West Michigan supports the views of Dave Agema, but one must only look at the difference in how his statements were covered by the media on each side of the state to see that there is clearly an underlying difference in the way each market views his sense of morality.

So how were his statements covered differently on each side of the State? I've been watching the story pretty closely.

Like this one?

The Freep's articles were pretty much the same.

As opposed to the progressive politics on the East Side of the State?

We all live in an overly socially conservative state (look at our State's archaic liquor laws). The only difference is that socially conservative people on the East Side are more likely to be democrats (UAW liberals) than over here. But they still love their guns and hate "the queers."

Greetings,

One comment on article if I may.

IMO - I think Dave should be taking a long look at his own sexuality...

Cheers...

Agreed. I think Dave Agema would be happier if he were indeed gay. He seems to have a lot of fear and angst as a heterosexual. Which is surprising since he was apparently some top gun pilot.
