I'm not kidding, and not asking rhetorical inflammatory questions.

I'm going to stay civil no matter how much you sling mud. Please do the same.

Thanks!

Cutting costs will allow them to spend money on whats really important. Why does GRPS need to spend $1000+ Apple computers when I can go to best-buy and get an IBM (like the one you would use at your job) for $350. Its waste. I was told they just got new computers 3 years ago.

They want Apple because its a "progessive", liberal company who will contribute money to Democrats.

Another thing the pollster stated is they need to move the administrators offices to the fronts of the buildings. In every GR public school I have been inside, they already are. And they are quite nice. They don't need to redo them.

I won't answer any more questions until you tell us how much we should all pay in taxes. I want a percentage.

Your questions are rhetoric because you don't want any hard solutions you just want everyone to agree with you, throw money at the problem and hope we get lucky.

How are new bleachers going to make our students learn more?

This is all feel good http://www.rivetbangers.com/cgi-php/forums/images/smiles/bs.gif (broken link).

Who "told" you they got new computers 3 years ago? The student : computer ratio is laughable at GRPS. What schools supposedly got these new computers?? And FYI many, many schools use Apple Mac Computers because they offer a lot more user friendly education programs. It is not some liberal conspiracy.

Secondly, what schools' administrative offices have you been in? I want names, because I have had family teaching at many of the middle and high schools (and I also subbed in many of the GRPS elementary schools before landing a teaching job) and they were also laughable, especially in comparison to suburban districts.

Just curious....what school district wold you support in a millage increase? Byron Center? Hudsonville? Zeeland?

When I speak of administrative offices, I am reffering to the principal, vp, secs. and counselors. Every school I attended had these in the front. IF there are some that are not located in the front, is it really worth $125,000,000 to put them there? They want new offices and they want them on my back.

I was told new computers were bought 3 years ago. Sorry, you wouldn't know the persons name and its ridiculous for you to ask me to post it here. I'm sure every student is currently not provided with a computer by the GRPS but I say let their partents buy them one, NOT ME.

If Apples are so easy to use won't our students be at a disadvantage when they enter the workforce and are required to use the "mindboggling" IBM's?

I would not support a millage increase for any school district. I think the entire nations school system should be privatized.

Live in the GRPS school district, pitch in $3K+ a year and then you can Bit** to me about it. I don't want to pay any more money and that will be my vote when the time comes to cast it.

What percentage of income do you believe Americans should pay to taxes?
