We are thinking about getting a small vacation home in the Holland area, maybe a couple of bedrooms and couple of bathrooms. $100's preferably. We are most familiar with the area around Dutch Village and were torn between looking out around there, or in closer to the water.

Thing is, we really don't know the neighborhoods to look at, any suggestions? Near downtown? Or Windmill Park? Or elsewhere?

Thank you!

I like close to the downtown area for its restaurants and shopping. Downtown Holland is pretty nice for Breweries as well. I think they are up to four of them all within walking distance. I guess it all depends what you are looking to do with your visits there? $100,000 might be on the lower side of prices there also as the whole West Michigan area has seen a increase in Real Estate prices over the past few years.
