One of the projects, 20 Fulton East, has a nice crane now.

I don't know about West Michigan but the unemployment rate in SE Michigan (outside Detroit city limits) can't be more than 3%, if that. Biggest traffic jams I've seen since the Reagan era. Everybody I know is working. Shops boarded up for 15 years are now open and many with two shifts. That dirty Rick Snyder!

Actually, below 3% you would see things like the COL skyrocketing and labor shortages. Pretty sure Metro Detroit hasn't reached that point yet. Things are heading in the right direction for sure with increasing employment levels, but low unemployment is not quite here yet.

West Michigan actually has reached that point as of last year when there were reported labor shortages.

It's not Snyder. Automotive sales have reached historic highs, as well as construction jobs. Michigan still has more automotive related jobs than any state in the country, more than 500,000. Snyder said he was actually going to change that, good thing he didn't.

Michigan still needs more diversification. The next automotive slow down will have us all griping about it.

It will happen organically. You can't force economic development patterns, and tax incentives are becoming less available and less effective.

So how many stories did they finally decide on with the 20 Fulton East project?

Get on a Mile Road between 2:30 PM and & 7PM and when you finally get home, you tell me. Those people aren't out there going to pick up an unemployment check. I'm sure WZZM doesn't want to discuss it; ABC (NBC?) liberal you can be sure.
